March 25, 2013 Class

We will be working on leg conditioning for class.   We will be working on the following:

  • Slow kicks including the front, side, and round kicks.
  • Lead Leg Push Kick / Round Kick – we will learn how to hold pads for this as well as some methods to use this type of combination in sparring
  • Side Kicks – we will improve side kick technique so it is effective

More information will follow during class.

March 11, 2013 Class Schedule

Class begins at 7pm. Please bring gloves.
New Techniques
We will be doing some sparring today.  I’ll show some strategies you can use when sparring and how to be effective.
Application
We will do 1 minute sparring sessions at a time.   Please see me if you do not have the proper safety gear.

March 4, 2013 Class Schedule

Class begins at 7pm. Please bring gloves.
New Techniques
We will be working on combinations which include evasive techniques.
Application
We will apply combinations integrated with conditioning exercises focused on what we worked on today.
Note for next week.  Please have mouth guards, boxing gloves, cups, and shin guards for next week.  We start learning how to spar.

February 11, 2013 Class Schedule

Class begins at 7pm. Please bring gloves.
New Techniques
We will be running through some combinations briefly, then incorporating them in pad drills.
Application
We will work on some combinations today based on what we’ve learned.  We will focus on the back leg round kick, front kick, and boxing combinations.

January 7 2013 Class

Class will resume at 7pm, Monday, January 7, 2013.  We will be learning different blocking techniques, and then applying them in sparring drills.  Please bring boxing gloves and a mouth guard if you have them.
We will end the class with Granada drill and devotional times.
