O Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
Many are saying to me, God will not deliver him.
But you are a shield around me, O Lord;
you bestow glory on me and lift
up my head.
To the Lord I cry aloud,
and he answers me from his holy hill.
I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.
I will not fear the tens of thousands
drawn up against me on every side.
Arise, O Lord!
Deliver me, O my God
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.
From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.
My wife calls me bulletproof occasionally because of the things I have done or can do. This has the potential of going to my ego, and in some cases it has. To be bulletproof, you need to have on body armor, or carry a shield.
When I am true to myself, I know I am not bulletproof. I still grow weary and weak, but He is the one who restores my soul. He is the one gives me strength. He is bulletproof and He shields His children. The times I appear ‘bulletproof,’ it’s because Christ is my shield and my strength.
Thank you Jesus for giving me strength and being my shield.
