Many times, we try so hard to attain the approval of men and women.  We say things to impress others.  We show off our skills and talents to get the oohs and awes of those that are watching.  We do things to obtain the approval of others, including at the expense of our character and beliefs.  As Christians, we must strive to win the approval of our Heavenly Father.  It is His approval that is much more valuable.  Would you rather be more like the world, which does not really care about you, or would you want to win the approval of Jesus, who sacrificed everything including His life for you?
