Living Dangerously

Living Dangerously

i-dangerous
2 Corinthians 4:11,12 – Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be obvious in our dying bodies.  So we live in the face of death, but it has resulted in eternal life for you. (NLT)
Christians all over the world are facing dangerous situations because of their faith in Christ.  In war torn countries, Christianity is looked down upon as a crime, and a lot of them are killed for their stance in Christ.  Being a Christian can be a dangerous life to live.
Just like in the military, men and women sign away their lives and livelihoods for the common mission of fighting for freedom.  If men and women were not willing to do that two hundred years ago, America would not be what it is today…free.  It takes sacrifice.
If God did not love us so much, He would not have sacrificed His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross of Calvary, and Christ would not have died for our sin.  This is a trembling thing to feel.  If Christ did not come, we would not have any hope of eternal life and fellowship with our Lord and Savior.  We would live meaningless lives, with no hope, and no direction.
Paul had a mission to spread the great news of Jesus Christ at the risk of losing his life so that others would be saved.   As Christians, it is our mission to reach the ends of the earth to spread the great message of Christ’s sacrifice so others may know Him as well.
Just like soldiers fighting and giving their lives for freedom, we should give our lives for a much greater freedom in Jesus Christ.
