I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up.  I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ – Galations 1:11,12
Paul is explaining the gospel he received that is being preached.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ which is what the Bible is all about was not invented by man or a prophet.  Otherwise, it would be just some other book.  It is the inspired Word of God and has withstood the tests of time.  What does this mean to us?  We can know as Christians led by the Holy Spirit that we can fully trust in what the Bible has to say.  We can know that it is without error and it has been proven over and over throughout the past two thousand years.  Where do you place your hope and trust?
