Fearless

Fearless

Romans 8:15 – So you should not be like cowering, fearful slaves.  You should behave instead like God’s very own children, adopted into His family – calling him “Abba, Father.”
Fear has a reputation of enslaving us of truly living our lives with the potential blessings God has for us here on earth.  Fear can come from a mother quitting her job to raise her children, not knowing if her husband will have enough to provide for his family.  The probability of an intruder breaking into your home at night can also enslave us on how we go about our day.  Fear makes us cowards.
Because of Christ and what He has done for us, we do not have to live in fear.  Because we are in Christ, we can trust in Him to guide our lives.  He is our shield and our helper.
Psalms 115:11 – All you who fear in the Lord, trust the Lord!  He is your helper; he is your shield.
Living courageously does not mean we should live carelessly.  If you plan on living on one income, you should plan ahead; faith without works is dead.  If you live in a moderately high crime area, make the necessary precautions to keep your family safe.  But do not live in such fear that you allow it to dictate who you are and your life mission.  Overcome fear and you will be free.
