2 Corinthians 1:4 – He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.
Every one of us has had to deal with times of pain and sorrow throughout our lives.  We have all had to face troubling circumstances, and we long to find relief and comfort to help us through them.  We may be able to find comfort from someone else who has similar experiences, because they can relate to what we are enduring at the moment.
Christ first suffered for us as He hung on the cross.  He carried the whole sin of the world so that we might be free.  Because of the suffering Christ had to endure, He is keenly aware of our troubles, and we can find comfort in knowing the Lord will carry us through.  We can trust we will not be alone.
