Loyal Character

Loyal Character

Proverbs 3:3-4 – Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!  Tie them around your neck as a reminder.  Write them deep within your heart.  Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.
Loyalty is the first value the Army holds to their standard.  It is a value that defines them and their mission.  Within loyalty, everything else can flow.  The soldiers can trust each other knowing there is someone there covering their six.  Without loyalty, the whole army would unravel quickly and loss becomes imminent.
Why is loyalty so vital, and why should we implement it into our own character?  First, loyalty tells others that you are reliable, you look to the needs of others, you are dependable, and consistent.  Loyal individuals creates strength in numbers.  Being disloyal causes division.  A house divided will not stand.
As men of God, as Christians, we are required to be loyal.  We need to be loyal to our families, our workplace, and most importantly, our Lord and Savior.  Loyalty is uncompromising and does not change when things are inconvenient or undeserved.  Being loyal to one another and to God goes for the end result no matter the odds.  When loyalty is absent in the areas of responsibility, families break apart, society breaks down, and we lose.
