Luke 15:20 – The Prodigal

Luke 15:20 – The Prodigal

So he got up and went to his father.  But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. – Luke 15:20

As Christians, we have a tendency to slide away from Christ into our old, sinful ways, just as we did before our eyes were opened to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  And yet, Christ still loves us.  He will not leave us, nor forsake us.  If we confess our sins and come back to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.  Just as the father welcomed his prodigal son, Jesus welcomes us back when we come to Him.
