Never Say Die

Never Say Die

i-die
2 Kings 6:15-19 – When the servant of the man of God got up early next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere.  “Ah, my lord, what will we do now?”  he cried out to Elisha.  “Don’t be afraid!”Elisha told him.  “For there are more on our side than on theirs!”  Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!”  The Lord opened his servant’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.  (NLT)
Elisha’s servant saw that they were outnumbered by the Syrian army.  It terrified him, but he did not see the help that was available to him.  He was not aware of the heavenly soldiers who were on his side.
At times, we feel overwhelmed by the circumstances we face in our own lives, and are prone to trust on our own resources.  We fail to see who is in our corner when life gets tough and there does not seem to be any relief.
The unpredictability and spiritual enemies of our lives appear to be more in number and powerful than us, and we assume defeat, ready to throw in the towel.  However, when we open our eyes of faith, we will see and discover the awesome power that is available to us.
God’s power and might is far greater and much more infinite than any of our problems and our enemies.  We must trust God to help us to see the truth in the spiritual realm.  We will then find the Lord and His power more than enough to meet our every need.
