Proverbs 16:9 – We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.
As I served in the military, we always came up with a plan to carry out a mission or an objective.  What I experienced is that our missions and objectives rarely went accordingly to our plans.
In fact, 99.9% of them deviated from the original plan.
When we plan our own futures, we have a tendency to assume everything will turn out as we expect, but this is rarely the case.  We should always remember our Lord is the one who orders our steps.  Planning is good, but we should not get upset or frustrated when our plans do not go our way.  Jesus knows all things, past, present, and future.  We can rest assured He will take care of us.
When you plan your tomorrows, pray the Lord will direct your thoughts and planning.  Do your planning in light of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and you will be filled with His peace as you venture into the unknown.
