Reconnaissance

Reconnaissance

Deuteronomy 31:8 – Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord is the one who goes before you.  He will be with you; he will neither leave you nor forsake you.
The military uses reconnaissance as a way to gather information about the enemy before any planning or execution is done when conducting a mission.  It lets us know what is ahead of us before we actually get there.  It helps to remove any unexpected scenarios as if we were to execute the mission without the knowledge we would achieve during the recon phase.  This gives us a better chance to success and for our survival.
Christ knows our past, our present, and our future.  He goes before us to make our way.  In a sense, He goes before us to perform reconnaissance.  We do not need to be afraid of what lies before us.  We do not need to worry about the traps our enemy has in place for us once we get there.  Christ has never, and will never leave us, nor forsake us.  We do not need to worry about being alone.  Our future is secure in Jesus Christ forever!
After Action Review:
What anxieties do you face when you think about your future?  Do you have worries about a future life decision such as moving to a different state?   Do you have worries about the potential layoffs at your job?  In Christ, we do not need to worry about such things.  Ask the Lord for wisdom and strength to guide you.  Cast all of your cares and burdens and place your faith and trust in Him, because He already has the intel on your future.
