Conflicts between spouses appear to be common place in marriages, especially today.  We treat our wives as though they are our enemies and take them for granted.  Sometimes, we value them as if they do not really matter.  You hear stories of husbands physically and emotionally abusing their wives, or we leave them for something or someone else we believe to be more valuable.  We would always end up empty handed.  Satan, God’s and our eternal enemy, would love nothing better than to destroy God’s vision for marriage, and see families being torn apart.
God made marriage and has a perfect plan for marriage.  It is a perfect union between husband and wife, and when we find the wife God calls us to marry, we find favor with our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Every time you have an argument or you have a problem that is between you and your wife, do not treat her as the enemy; as if she is not valuable.  Remember your true enemy, and fight the devil by loving your wife with kindness.  Be the wall that surrounds your wife and protects her from Satan’s vicious attacks.  If you do not, you may lose a precious gift God has given you.
