2 Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all stand before Christ to be judged.  We all each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in our bodies.
Accountability is a weapon that we should equip ourselves with.  Because of our disobedience to God from the beginning of time, we are prone to sin.  When we have someone to keep us honest, we are less likely to do things that would bring shame to ourselves and to others.
Christians should be accountable to one another.  Even though we have been accepted as God’s children, we still live in a sin nature, and we must be more diligent in living like Christ.  If we do not, we can ruin our witness and ruin relationships.  We must be in the Word daily, focusing on God and His will for our lives.
When we are accountable to each other, we will be more likely to stay in accordance to God’s will.  Everyone should have someone such as a friend or family member who keeps them accountable.  We are prone to sin and trying to keep ourselves accountable is impossible.
