A Warriors Heart

A Warriors Heart

We cannot be completely changed unless we start at our hearts.  We do not accept Christ by intellectually believing, or mentally reciting the sinner’s prayer.  Christ requires our hearts.  He requires the very thing that life begins.  What comes from the heart exposes who we are.
Luke 6:45 – The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.  For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
Our behavior, our actions, and what we say all comes from the heart. How we love or hate, give or take, starts at the heart.  An excerpt from Man Alive makes it really clear when they say:
Morley (2012). Authentic faith really is about the heart.  Of course, Christianity is also about behavior, but its behavior that overflows from changing what we believe in our hearts.  Belief determines behavior.
Search and examine your hearts.  What do you see?  Do you see peace, joy, patience, gentleness, and self-control, or do you see hate, greed, envy, or strife?  What you find in your heart will tell you what you believe.  If you see anything you do not like, repent of it.  Give it to God.  It is not something you can do on your own.
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Always be on your guard and prepare to fight!
