Has anyone ever counseled you in a way that would make you a better husband, father, athlete, or man of God?  While we still live with humanistic tendencies, we can sometimes feel slighted when someone corrects us for a shortcoming, or our pride gets checked when we fall short of what we are called to do.  Instead of taking those moments and beating ourselves up, or to ignore sound advice, we should take it as an opportunity to grow in those areas that we are called to that will make us better men and ultimately, closer to Christ.
