Kickboxing Class Schedule – Monday, November 29th, 2010

Last week went well, thought there are some room for improvement.  This week, we’re going to reduce how much we do in an hour so we are able to give more time for each station. 

Boxing / MMA Gloves


Opening Prayer

Prayer acknowledging Christ as the center of our lives and our training

Warm up

Medium Intensity Warm up focusing on cardio, strength and endurance.

Endurance Drills

Jab / Cross
Jab / Cross at a fast rate for 15 seconds

2 Jabs / 2 Round Kicks
3 Jabs / 3 Round Kicks
4 Jabs / 4 Round Kicks
5 Jabs/ 5 Round Kicks
6 Jabs / 6 Round Kicks
7 Jabs / 7 Round Kicks

Jab / Cross / Front Round Kick
Jab / Cross / Front Round Kick / Back Leg Round Kick
Jab / Cross / Back Leg Round Kick / Turn Side Kick

Thrust Kick / Back Leg Round Kick


We’ll be working on boxing drills using the 1-2-3-4 method.

Advanced Technique / Self Defense

This station will be integrated with the power/speed/technique station at the beginning of the class.


We’ll do Version 2 of the Granada
