When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” – Judges 6:12
“But Lord,” Gideon asked, “how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” Judges 6:15
In these verses, the Lord is calling Gideon to save Israel. In verse 15, Gideon is displaying his lack of faith because of how unqualified he appears to be. And yet, despite his lack of faith, his “status” as he thinks of himself, the Lord still uses Gideon to save Israel from the hand of Midian.
Even in our weakness and our doubt, God can and will use us, but only if we stand up and obey Him. It is in our weakness He makes us strong. He will be with you in the time of battle. He will never leave your, nor forsake you, despite how hopeless your circumstances might appear. He will fight with you, and for you.
