Wisdom is the ability to foresee potential outcomes before they happen. It is usually acquired through learning and experience. Without wisdom, we live in the short term and our future is bleak. We wind up doing things we regret, or we could get hurt in the process.
We live in a sinful world and we as sinners, we naturally gravitate towards doing things with a short sighted perspective. Christ is our source of wisdom. He is the way, the truth, and the life. When we abide in Him, we are able to see with His eyes what lies before us, life and death, blessing and cursing. And with this wisdom, we can look ahead knowing our future is secure, and we can avoid the pitfalls of sin in ways we would not perceive without our Lord.Tags: arrogance, Christ, Christian, fall, God, Hosea 14:9, Jesus, kickboxing, learning, Lord, right, righteousness, Savior, sin, sinners, sparring, true, truth, ways, wisdom, wise
